Along the Road step 5

Now....take four of these finished squares and lay them out so as the light sections form an X as in the picture. This is one finished unit that should measure 12". Four my lap quilt I am laying my units 4 across and 5 rows down. This is so simple and fun to make! I like the way the light X patterns work across the quilt....it reminds me of the wonderful Paducah 9 Patch pattern-but WAY easier!

If anyone makes this I'd love to see pictures!

I found your blog link via the stashbusters group and wanted to say thanks for the tutorial! I wonder if I can do this with 2 charm packs I bought recently. The measurements would be different but it could still work I think. I'll have to make sure I have enough light colors in the packs first!

I also found you through Stashbusters, and I like your blog and your quilt instructions. I wonder how that would be with just lights and scrappy reds and blues?
I may give it a try. Keep up the good work.

Like you way of using 4 patches to make the 'X's
Will try to remember to give that a go when my current projects are finished.
