Upcoming Project

I am planning to announce another upcoming project later this weekend.....yes. I know. I AM nuts. Or maybe just obsessed. You know how it is-or you wouldn't be reading this now, right?!

For ages I have wanted to do a signature square mini quilt. Now that more and more of you are becoming my "friends" I think the time is here. I will spell all the details out later.(we're talking March deadline guys) What I need your help with is deciding which square you like more. The one on the left finishes at a petite 3". The one on the right finishes at 3.5". The center area would contain the signature, state ,and country. Both are simple to construct and I will have a tutorial up once the project is in motion. So....cast your vote even if you don't intend to play!

I like the one on the left. I did a quilt using that pattern and it was fun to see how all the fabrics came together.

I'm going to be a fence sitter and say that I like them both (I know that doesn't help). I suppose depending on how many there will be the smaller would be the better if you get lots. I would love to play too if you'll accept an aussie! D. :=)

i like the one on the left. You can easily view the wording....and i think it looks better. perhaps you can do a tutorial for both? one can use the one on the right specifically if they are making a square pattern or log cabin? but i definitely am leaning for the left.

I'd love to play too if you'll have overseas peoples in it..
I have done two signature quilts with the two triangles, they are fun to make and if you let people leave the 'bonus' triangles on the back, you have even more options.. one lady stitched it all together then unpicked and rolled back that unpicked seam and it looked like an exaggerated cathedral windows.. stunning!

Having said that, the 'cobblestone' one is cute too, but not enough space to write! I gotta long signature and suburb!

I am currently making signatures with batiks for our retreat next year and its 1/2 square triangles.. one side print, the other side for writing, 6" finished, so leaves enough space to embellish!

I'd definately join if it was a themed fabric that I work with! fussy? maybe.. lol but I like things to match.. LOL

I like both blocks. That means I am a fence sitter too.

I think your signature quilt will be beautiful with block on the left or on the right.

Now I KNOW i'm a nut....maybe we should just do BOTH?! LOL The left one in civil war/thimbleberrie types and the right one in 30s?

I will set this up on Tuesday when I have the day off! :)

I like the one on the right, but I would make it a little smaller.
