I like it best without a border but if you add a border I think I would add a narrow strip of a solid dark color to kind of frame the blocks and create a break before the border.
I like the idea of a small dark border....due to the fact that when you do the binding you are going to lose a portion of your square and I am unhappy when that happens.
I am a quilt addict. When not in my sewing room,I can be found at work. I am a high school teacher of English and Psychology. That means I get to quilt all summer. I live with a wonderful Berger Picard ("Winn Dixie" dog)and live in southern California.

I think I like it best without a border too (sorry!). But, if you do put a border, I like the brown. Maybe with a narrow black inner border first.

I was going to say no border (sorry!) until I read Mags comments. Never thought of that! Dark border if you use one would be my choice.
